Despite being touted months ago there are no concrete plans for a fight between the head of Meta and the man with the world’s most fragile ego.

Since the birth of Threads at the end of June, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg had been set for a cage fight. Musk had taken umbridge with Zuckerberg’s Twitter (now named ‘X’) clone.
“I’m up for a cage match if he is,” the 52-year-old Musk said in a thread on X.
“Send me location,” Zuckerberg replied.
Two months later the ‘fight’ appears to be off. Zuckerberg posted this to threads:
I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.

Musk responded by calling Musk a “chicken” on X and revealed some text messages purporting to show him asking for the fight to be in his garden.

Zuckerberg is an actual mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiast, proven by winning a gold and silver at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in May. Musk weighs 70 pounds more and is not in comparable shape.

Dana White, UFC chief, explained the differences between the fighters.
“We have two guys that have never professionally fought, and they’re in two completely different weight classes,” White said. “It will be the biggest fight in the history of combat sports.”
What had been organised so far?
Absolutely nothing. There has been plenty of talk online between the two but nothing has yet been organised.
The Tesla CEO revealed last week that he had spoken to Italy’s prime minister and culture minister about holding the fight at “an epic location” in Italy in the style of ancient Rome.
Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏.All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.
