The UEFA Champions League returns for Matchday Two, and the matches are split eight and eight on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday sees several heavyweight ties as the Group of Death, Group F, features clashes between Dortmund and Milan, and Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain. Other notable contests include Manchester City traveling to Leipzig and Barcelona heading to Portugal to take on Porto. Let’s dive into my top three bets for Wednesday’s action.

Wednesday’s Champions League Best Bets
Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbooks
Atletico Madrid (-150) vs. Feyenoord (+425), DRAW (+295) | 2.5 (-120/+100)
The Wednesday slate gets started with a pair of early matches as Atletico Madrid hosts Feyenoord and Antwerp takes on Shakhtar Donetsk. Both ties kick off at 12:45 p.m. ET, and I’ll be focusing on the former in this section. Atletico will be looking for its fourth straight victory when it hosts the Dutch side at CÃvitas Metropolitano in the capital city of Spain.
I anticipate there being no shortage of goals on Wednesday afternoon in Madrid. While we know Atletico to be a very keen defensive side, they’re going to have their hands full as they host a surging Feyenoord team. The Rotterdam squad has won six consecutive matches and they’re unbeaten in their last eight overall (two draws). There has been a bunch of offensive support for Feyenoord as they’ve netted 26 goals over seven domestic matches in the Eredivisie, which translates to 3.7 tallies per contest.
On the flip side, I can’t see Atletico getting shut out on their own pitch €“ not in the Champions League. Diego Simeone’s men have found the back of the net 18 times over seven La Liga matches, which is second-best in the table (with an extra match in hand). I think both teams score at least once on Wednesday.
Bet: Both Teams To Score (-125)
Newcastle United (+155) vs. Paris Saint-Germain (+165), DRAW (+260) | 2.5 (-150/+120)
One of the marquee matchups on Wednesday features a battle between up-and-coming Newcastle and visiting Paris Saint-Germain. Kickoff for this match is set for 3:00 p.m. ET from St. James’ Park in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England.
Eddie Howe’s Magpies seem to be finding their form once again as they’ve rattled off three consecutive victories since a 0-0 draw with AC Milan in their UCL opener. Each win was notable as Newcastle smoked Sheffield United 8-0 in the Premier League, beat Manchester City 1-0 in a Carabao Cup match, and most recently, handled Burnley 2-0.
While Newcastle hasn’t conceded across its last five competitions, I think that changes against the French powerhouse, PSG. Over their last six matches, the Parisians have netted 15 goals (2.5 GPG). It has been none other than superstar Kylian Mbappé leading the charge, scoring seven times in six Ligue 1 matches along with tallying one against Dortmund in their UCL opener. There will be a ton of offensive talent on the pitch in this one, so I’ll bump the total up to 3.0 goals with a plus-money payout.
Bet: Over 3.0 (+110)
RB Leipzig (+350) vs. Manchester City (-135), DRAW (+300) | 2.5 (-150/+120)
Finally, let’s head out to Germany as RB Leipzig seeks revenge after getting bounced by eventual champions Manchester City last year. City laid it on Leipzig, beating them 7-0 in the aggregate. However, things may be different this campaign, and we’ll find out on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET from Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany.
If you feel like taking a risk, getting the host side at 3.5/1 to win this match seems like it could be the move. I think Leipzig has the offensive firepower to cause some havoc this time around. On the domestic front, the Red Bulls have netted 16 goals over six matches, which is the fourth-most in the Bundesliga. Dating back to August 12th, over nine matches across all competitions, Leipzig has scored at least twice in eight of the games. They’re averaging an inflated 2.8 goals per match over the sample size.
On the other hand, we have Manchester City, which is a team that I feel can score at will. They’re off to a 6-0-1 start in the Premier League, scoring the fourth-most goals with 17. Obviously, it’s Erling Haaland who leads the way with eight tallies over seven PL matches. The star was blanked against Red Star Belgrade in the UCL opener, but Julián Ã;lvarez (two goals) and Rodi stepped up in the 3-1 victory. I think we’re in for a back-and-forth thriller in Germany on Wednesday. I’m bumping this total up to 3.0 as I’m expecting at least a trio of strikes.
Bet: Over 3.0 (+105)
